Engineering the path
from signal to execution.

I’m Pouria Jamali, a trading systems developer working across futures execution, event-driven order handling and automated risk controls. My financial-software career began in 2014, from payment terminals to trading platforms.

Production switch throughput · team result

~400 distinct strategies and indicators; ~1,300 implementations including variants. SEP throughput is a team result, not an individual back-office benchmark.

01 / ENGINEERING IN PRACTICE

Built around real operational constraints.

Follow the implementation decisions, individual responsibilities and validation behind three selected systems.

02 / INTERACTIVE SYSTEMS LAB

Follow the event.
Understand the consequence.

Step through a synthetic order lifecycle. Watch filled and pending quantities move, then inspect how an independent supervisor can intervene.

Six filled plus four pending already reserve the full limit. A new buy order would increase exposure to eleven.

Illustrative single-instrument model using synthetic events. No connection to a broker or company system.

03 / EXPERIENCE

A career inside financial software.

A progression through device protocols, payment operations and the execution lifecycle — with C#/.NET as the bridge between them.

04 / CURRENT FOCUS

Trading knowledge.
Engineering responsibility.

Understanding the trading workflow helps me translate strategy behaviour into order handling, risk checks and operational controls. My current C++ work spans Windows and Linux; TT implementations use C#, while OnixS integration uses C++.

C++ & CME connectivity

Windows · Linux · OnixS

C++ development on Windows and Linux; implementing CME MDP 3.0 / iLink 3 connectivity in C++ via OnixS.

In development

Research tooling

Python · backtesting

Contributing to backtesting tools for HFT research.

AI-assisted engineering

Structured prompting · development

AI tools support implementation and independent research workflows.

Independent crypto research
